Therapy for Perfectionism & Imposter Syndrome

HELPING YOU BUILD SELF-COMPASSION AND BOUNDARIES SO YOU CAN FEEL GROUNDED AND CONFIDENT

Do you base your value by what you do or give? Do you work hard but still have a hard time accepting you’ve done enough? Do you put projects off until the last minute because you’re blocked by the fear that your work won’t be good enough? Do you find that you often say “yes” to things even though you really want to say “no?” Do you put others’ comfort and needs ahead of your own—even to your own detriment?

Perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and people pleasing can feed off each other and can be associated with stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and even eating disorders. The causes for these feelings are complex and varied. You may have learned as a child that you needed to do everything right to get love, affection, and praise. Or maybe your natural capacity for empathy led to adults in your life relying on you for support when you were too young to shoulder expectations like that. Maybe you hold marginalized identities and have felt the need to work harder than others to justify your worth.

I have extensive experience helping people address perfectionism and imposter syndrome. Regardless of where these beliefs come from, I’ll support you in building your self-awareness and developing self-compassion, as well as working on communicating your feelings, needs, and boundaries. We’ll get curious about what that ever-present inner critic is trying to communicate. And we’ll work on balancing the care you give others with the care you give yourself.

You deserve to feel worthy and whole just as you are.
